(though just a bit of a correction, Akira was never 'God' he was just the head, Akito was the first God to be born in a long time, that's why Akira was so ecstatic about it) I personally interpreted it that Shigure reacted that way to Akito on first sight compared to the others cause he has some major deep-seated identity issues hence why I asked if he's okay in the head lol.

sorry about that, the fam referred to him as god here and there so my unrecapped brain went ‘ okay that sounds right ‘. still, as head to god shigure would be about the same.

also there are some deeper points to him and his character that reasons why. because i don’t recall we hear anything about shigures parents and their reaction to him do we ?? i’m calling out the fam on their lies if they’re wrong but they said they aren’t really mentioned. so i headcanon that his mother rejected him and his father kinda followed suit with her. so having a god born means so much to him because surely god will love him … right ??
