but i don’t let him touch me anymore.

eyes shift up from the paper and the tea the dog held in his other hand. he’s not sure exactly what brought this topic up in the first place, but he has to take it seriously, this wasn’t just a silly topic he could pass by. so the paper gets laid down, the mug gently placed on the table top as he looks over to her.

‘    i would hope not.    ‘        he doesn’t want to seem desperate or needy, like akito belonged to him as much as he believed it in the end. he had to stay calm, collected, lest the other would start to freak out on him.        ‘    we are dating now, are we not ?? kureno has moved on as well. but i’m sure one day he’ll visit.    ‘

one hand splays out in the air, a soft hum on his lips as he rolls his eyes and can only agree with the youngers statement. but he had to correct some obvious points in there for them, a matter of fact tone on his lips.        ‘    if i may add to that – every country is as such. money and pride bring one power they believe, or at least how these ones work.    ‘

‘    very clearly i have learnt that this applies to you, akito.    ‘        letting fingers brush across the fabric of her kimono, shigure lets the piece shift under his fingers to reveal the skin beneath. it isn’t high up so it only reveals her lower thigh, but he still smiles as finger tips brush across skin before withdrawing from her.        ‘    but sometimes work requires it of me.    ‘

‘    is this true ?? is it true that your life is a joke, akito ??    ‘        theres a grin across his face as shigure laughs, book lowered to his lap from where he sat. the view in the door was lovely, his favourite every time he visited akito.        ‘    if you were a professional i would HOPE you’re at least getting paid for it.    ‘

‘your tie is crooked.’

( amor 101 ) @fatedgod.

there’s a brief second where shigure watches her approach her, her expression scrunched up as he laughs. she had told him a few times that a suit works best on him ( even if he prefers the yukata over suits ) so he has to dress appropriately when going out in public with her now. it had been a few months since the two got married, hatori constantly at their sides when not worked to the bone at his practice. but this was one of the first times shigure was going out with her, he had to finish up his novels before he quit them, and finally, FINALLY he was getting close, so a break was due.

‘    it’s just a dinner, darling. why are you worried about my tie ??    ‘        he lets her mess with it, his fingers never excelled at the small details needed to tie it perfectly. in no time she has it corrected though and shigure smiles down at her, tilting her head up to kiss her.        ‘    thank you.    ‘

“Don’t touch me.”

( on love ) @fatedgod.

theres a hesitation as shigure stretched his hand out, fingers barely brushing against the god before they flinched back, sharp words from the younger. he had heard ren too clearly earlier, words crisp in the air as shigure was reading a book. they didn’t die down for a few minutes, giving the dog a chance to walk over and investigate what the woman was in a fit about this time. she had quieted enough when he caught her daughter, his GOD storming out, a soft sigh on shigures lips as he approached her.

he had been denied though, eyes narrowing before he frowned. it hurt just a fraction before he reached out and grabbed her anyways, lifting the young girl into his arms and taking her away from the room her mother was in. it was no easy hike, akito was not impressed to be ignored on command, but when he reaches his book again he drops down by the tree and holds her close on his lap.  lips press to her head as he keeps her tucked close.

                                                                                   ‘    ——    shhh. it’ll be okay.    ‘

❝ love will always have you at a disadvantage. ❞

( a choice of god ) @fatedgod.

such words from his gods lips isn’t surprising – his love was deeper, fuller, more deadly than the other cursed members. his love for their god, for akito as a woman and not just tied to their bond which one day would BREAK spoke VOLUMES against the cold night air when shigure sat out on the back porch and let his thoughts wander, lit cigarette in his hand.

he doesn’t respond at first, lets the gods hands cup the eldests face, gaze focused on each other before he just smiles, hands overlapping akito’s thinner, smaller ones and looks towards the window, blue skies far out towards unknowns to them.

                                          ‘    ———  i expect nothing less of it.    ‘

‘    i suppose you’re right. all i do is cause trouble. i can leave then.    ‘        standing himself up he straightens out his yukata before smiling at the god. he’d be back later of course but, for now if she was going to insult him then perhaps her mood was more foul than he thought.

a gentle hum is on his lips, he’s got himself sat down in one of the yards corners in the main house. book settled on his lap, a brow cocks up towards the god.        ‘    — you know you can come closer. i’m behaving right now after all. or are you angry i didn’t go to see you first, hmm ??    ‘

shigure has ALWAYS been one for his books. when he started reading it took him to a place where he could sit and pretend the rest of the world didn’t exist. it became a base part of him which is why he writes them now too. while he was growing up it did help with his intelligence and grades, but once he was an adult it started to make him seem less social. he started to write them instead of reading them all the time which gave him more time to socialize ( against his editors preference ).

good things from this all : hes smarter. was more able to manage himself and his apathetic nature when young.

bad things from this all : he was much more antisocial as a child. seemed less approachable by others.
